How Marinmarknaden works

  1. 1

    Describe the job

Choose what needs doing, enter the boat model and harbour and take a few photos. It takes about three minutes.

  2. 2

    Compare quotes

Up to 3 workshops send an estimated price. Questions and answers are translated both ways.

  3. 3

The workshop comes to the dock

The one you choose measures on site, sews at the workshop and comes back to install.

Why Marinmarknaden?

  • Workshops that travel to you

Canvas makers and upholsterers in Poland, the Baltics and Ukraine take the ferry over and measure at your berth.

  • Compare before you decide

You get up to 3 estimated prices and choose yourself. Nothing is binding until you have chosen a quote.

  • Clear about the cost

Asking is free. When you choose a quote you pay a booking fee that is deducted from the workshop's price, so the total stays the same.

  • Translated and in one place

You write in Swedish or English and the workshop reads it in its own language. The original text is always shown alongside.

What does it cost?

We earn money on one thing only: the booking fee you pay once you have chosen a quote. It is deducted from the workshop's price, so your total stays the same.

Once the fee is paid, we release the contact details in both directions.

We check every workshop's VAT number, and all of them sign our agreement and a data processing agreement for your details. Ukraine is outside the EU. There we check the details by hand, and the agreement includes the EU standard contractual clauses.

Frequently asked questions

What does it cost to ask?

Nothing. You only pay once you have chosen a quote, and then only the booking fee to us. You pay the rest directly to the workshop.

Why workshops from Poland, the Baltics and Ukraine?

There are many experienced canvas makers and boat upholsterers there. They travel here, measure on site and come back to install.

Who is responsible for the job?

The workshop. You sign the agreement for the job with the workshop, and complaints go to the workshop. We help you raise the complaint and translate.

What if the price changes after measuring?

The workshop's price may change by at most 10 %. If it changes more and you say no, you get the booking fee back.

When do I get the workshop's contact details?

Once you have chosen a quote and paid the booking fee. Then you get each other's details and can talk directly.

Do I have to measure myself?

No. The workshop measures on site. You only need the boat model, the harbour and a few photos.
